This impressive, 30,000+ sq. ft. home on Upper Straights Lake started out as a humble and modest, 5,000 sq. ft. home before the owners decided to add-on. As one of the finest contractors around, we were called on to provide the roofing and custom metal work for this exclusive project.
The roof is primarily made up of over 25,000 sq. ft. of random width, unfading green, hand-split natural slate. Our installers have extensive experience working with this material and their craftsmanship is second to none. Working from scaffolding and jacks & boards, the slate roof was installed to perfection and the finished product is a thing of beauty.
In addition to the slate roof, there is also over 10,000 sq. ft. of Firestone modified bitumen roofing. At the transition areas between the flat and steep roof sections, we used a custom venting detail that we have perfected over the years. The continuous vent allows for proper airflow, which is critical to the performance and longevity of any roof system, while remaining out of sight, maintaining the clean look of the slate roof.
Finishing the project is over 1,300 ln. ft. of FreedomGray copper gutter and downspouts, as well as other decorative copper details. FreedomGray is a tin-zinc alloy coated-copper product made by Revere Copper Products. We have extensive experience not only with FreedomGray, but all types of copper and other metal products.
This beautiful home is the perfect showcase to highlight the variety of services we provide and the dedication to quality we bring to each and every project.
